Ade Holder – Surrey Motoring Journalist
My name is Ade Holder I am a freelance motoring journalist and content writer based across Surrey and the South East. I live in Sussex but much of my initial work was in Surrey and for Surrey Life magazine specifically. Being a freelance motoring journalist in Surrey certainly gives you a chance to test cars in a number of different environments from the twists and climbs of Box Hill to the traffic jams and car parks of Guildford. The county also has some amazing motoring heritage with the likes of the old Brooklands track and top end motorsport centres for the likes of McLaren, not to mention the fact the Top Gear is filmed at Dunsfold aerodrome!
About Me
It is fair to say I have been obsessed with cars for as long as I can remember. My father was a mechanic and exposed me to a great deal of automotive information from a very young age and this certainly had an effect. I spent many years dreaming of being able to drive and once I could I then spend my time dreaming of driving better and more exciting cars. Thankfully as a motoring journalist I have had the pleasure of driving some of the worlds best cars as well as many day to day cars which I find no less exciting just exciting in a different way. I also happen to love writing, it is something that has gradually surfaced over the years and I find it an amazing way to express my passion for cars and motor racing as well any many other subjects I cover as a content writer as well as being a motoring journalist.
Motoring Content and Journalism
I am just as happy writing for newspapers and magazines as I am for blogs and websites. I think both mediums have their charms but I find myself being asked to write for websites more and more as the years go on. I can offer full road tests and car reviews for manufacturers or local dealerships, event write ups or press releases prior to events, motorsport comment and content as well as general car news for local or national readerships. In short, I have a passion for providing motoring content in its many forms to publications and websites in Surrey and across the South East and the whole of the UK. I am even available for radio and podcast interviews and comment on automotive news stories and was recently on BBC Sussex and Surrey radio discussing driverless cars.
